Bing & Facebook Challenge Google Instant Search

Google and Yahoo are currently the two top search engines, but Bing will be knocking Yahoo into third place soon enough. With two new features being added to the search engine, Bing is making big strides to challenge its main competitor, Google, and its new ‘Instant Search’ feature. New Facebook Groups, Dashboard, and ‘Download Your Info’

At a conference on Wednesday, Mark Zuckerberg announced a few new adjustments to Facebook that he hopes will crack down on the privacy issues. While some of them are a bit more significant than others, all of the changes will affect your Facebook experience.

‘The Social Network’ – 1st World Reviews

At this point, those of you who saw David Fincher’s “The Social Network” did so because you knew it was about the guy who made Facebook. Now that the film has been released and opinions have been developed, most of you will see “The Social Network” because someone you know will tell you it’s the best movie of the year.

I am a biased David Fincher fan, not to mention an avid Facebook user, but the story of friendships and deceptions leading up to the creation of the social site would be interesting to anyone.

Facebook Movie Threatens Facebook President

Phrases like “soon-to-be classic” and “defines a decade” have already been used in early reviews of David Fincher’s new film about Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, titled “The Social Network,” and Zuck should be worried.

 

It’s ironic that one of the first serious threats to Facebook president Mark Zuckerberg’s quiet reputation is a film entitled “The Social Network.”

When I heard about the movie, I immediately wanted to know if Facebook, or Zuckerberg, were involved in the production of the film in any way. At this point, we can safely say they are not.

The Facebook Cop-out: “Ad Philosophy”

The group known as “Just Say Now” has been banned from promoting their pro-marijuana advertisement on Facebook, even though the ad was initially approved and shown 38 million times on the social networking site.

 

Just Say Now is a coalition dedicated to the legalization of marijuana, claiming the change would lower crime near the borders and create around $40 billion in revenue each year. No matter how you feel regarding the subject of marijuana legalization, we can all agree that Just Say Now is making a political statement and should be guarded by free speech.
