Apple is trying to create a market for a product that has no reason to exist. With lap tops and smart phones available at much cheaper prices, and with much more reliability and history, can the iPad really do anything but shove it all into one device?

Not really, and it has crippled itself by withholding necessary elements like USB support, Flash video support, and a web cam.

The iPad is a gimmick, first and foremost.

Great job Apple. The funny thing is that its appealing to the types of people who most likely can’t afford such a device. People with higher incomes more than likely have multiple uses for a computer. Some business and some entertainment combined. Why would anyone use an ipad for media when a computer can do all of those things and more?
