UFO Sightings on the Rise in China

On September 11th of this year, at around 8pm at an airport in Baotou, China, a UFO was sighted over Baotou’s international airport. The incident caused incoming flights to be either re-routed or forced jets to circle the airport for over an hour and a half, according to an article by the Huffington Post.

This UFO sighting is the 8th in just three months of increased UFO sightings in China.

Although the Chinese government has claimed the other seven were military tests, it seems they can’t make any comment on the last. Speculation suggests the last 7 sightings were a cover up and the 8th one, putting innocent civilians lives in jeopardy, could not be credited to Chinese Military Operations for obvious reasons.

When discussing this story with the admin of this site, Chris, I was presented with an interesting viewpoint on this. Because of the advancement in technology, (Chris just watched the infamous Hubbell Telescope in 3D on his vacation in D.C.) you would think that the famed Hubbell Telescope, which can view other solar systems light years away, would have captured some signs of intelligent life.

Yet, as time goes on, UFO sightings are on the rise. Instead of spotting them in deep space, or discovering their home planets through telescopes like the Hubbel, we somehow catch sight of them floating right in front of us. The entire concept pushes us to consider many things, including the legitimacy of these UFO sightings and the immeasurable technology these life forms could possibly possess.

Whether or not these UFO sightings are legitimate, it’s hard to believe there is no life outside our own solar system. Many would consider the idea that we are the only intelligent life form in the universe, well, ignorant.

If any government knows of the existence of life elsewhere and has proof, it’s safe to say that the world is now ready to know about it, and that sort of information being kept secret is criminal.

Actually, let me rephrase that. If any government knows of extraterrestrial life, the world should know about it. Whether we are ready to know about it is a different story.
