2010: A Global Warming Wake-up Call

2010 is a year of extreme weather patterns that only prove Global Warming and could be a memorable time span in the near future.

From heat waves and forest fires in Russia, massive earthquakes in Chile and Haiti, a gigantic iceberg the size of Manhattan breaking off of a glacier in Greenland, as well as torrential rains and flooding in Pakistan, China, and North Korea, the signs of Global Warming are not just present, but obvious, according to the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS).

Global Warming was a huge concern a couple years past, but it seems like power hungry governments who didn’t want to lose money on big oil have halted the preventative steps needed to be taken and public concern has dropped off.  Now, in 2010, the major heat waves and flooding around the world are painful signs of Global Warming.

Ongoing consumption of Fossil Fuel is causing a rapid build up effect in Green house gases, which inevitably makes Earth’s temperature rise consistently.  These major natural disasters were predicted to happen if the Global Warming situation escalated.

All of us, as members of a logical species, need to do our part to rid ourselves of this problem before it is suddenly beyond repair.  Leaps in technology must be put into action more quickly, and the public understanding of Global Warming needs to spread.

With the year only half over, this could just be the beginning. Although it is a chilling thought, it is one that should make us more aware and more proactive in finding a quicker solution while we still have time.

Agriproduction is extremely key subject for a country and all over world. For nation, farming is extremely essential. But sciencists say there is overall warming and production will cut. Production is rising each year quite global warming. Because of it I don’t believe this warming. I suspect you might like to say to me, “Is Fikirleri, look the investigate that supports the folder for global warming was done by research scientists; people with PH D’s in Meteorology. They are employed by main colleges and essential investigate associations. Their effort has been reviewed through other scientists with PH D’s. They have to know a lot extra concerning it than you do. Come on, is fikirleri, find with it. The experts say our pollution has shaped an strong and rising greenhouse result and a quick, out of control global warming is underway that will sky rocket temperatures, destroy agriculture, soften the ice caps, flood the coastlines in addition to ending life as we know it. How can you disagree beginning this crisis? You must be a bit crazy.

Couldn’t agree more. I have decided to study environmental science to see what is out there that needs to be changed. The heat this year in AZ has been unbearable and if it is snowing in Phoenix this year, there is definetely something that needs to change. The Earth can only take so much. I don’t know how much more politicians expect to do without the fallout of global warming becoming a problem that could one day eliminate humankind. It is more than just saying let’s protect the rain forrest. Chris you brought some excellent points to the table and I agree with you. I think that it is time to take global warming more seriously before we destroy this planet for future generations. There is such a thing as too little, to late.
